MORE TRAFFIC LIGHTS FOR LONDON ROAD w/c 22/04/24

Whilst the 3 way lights for the Station Road works were removed last night, the Parish Council has been advised that South East Water currently have works outside FreeLands Tiles, London Road. They have a leak on the supply pipe and currently the works are all contained within the parking bays outside.
HOWEVER, KCC were advised earlier this afternoon that SEW have got to go into the road itself with 2 way lights as that is where the main is.
SEW wanted it to start today but KCC has refused permission until Monday (not wanting traffic controls and no work over the weekend). So, the traffic management will start on Monday for 3 days. The lights will be manually controlled from 0730 – 0930 & 1530 – 1900hrs (peak times) to help manage the traffic flow.

Follow London Road north and at the mini roundabout (junction with Station Road) go straight over. Village green to your left (noticeboard, flagpole, timber bus shelter) and shops to the right. Continue over bridge, Dunton Green Primary School and The Duke’s Head on your right. Immediately after the pub is the entrance to Glyn Davies Close but turn right just after this into the service road to the recreation ground car park (just before the terrace starts).
